Grief and loss

In life, we may encounter many different kinds of losses: the loss of a loved one, a job, or an identity, for example. The grief and uncertainty that follows may feel overwhelming. Sometimes, it may even feel confusing and come with anger or guilt.

Distressing thoughts

We give our thoughts a lot of power. It isn’t easy to just ignore the voice in your head that’s always criticizing you or telling you that you’ll fail. And sometimes, you may experience frightening, intrusive thoughts that alarm you.

Transitions and life changes

Whether you’re moving to a new place, leaving a community, or entering a new stage of your life, transitions can be confronting as we come face to face with our identities and are forced to consider what’s most important to us.

Interpersonal conflict

Sometimes it feels like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to make things work with a partner, a friend, or a family member. Maybe you feel stuck in the same unhealthy relationship patterns, unsure of how to break out.

Panic and anxiety

Anxiety is our body’s alarm system,
alerting us to danger and potential threats—
but sometimes, this alarm system can
become overly sensitive, interfering with our ability to be present with work, leisure, and daily activities.

Emotional regulation

Emotions are an important source of information that help us make decisions about our lives and empathise with others—but sometimes, they can feel hard to
reach or even overwhelming and out of our control.
